I feel both compelled and obligated to put together this blog site. I feel compelled as someone who is well versed and very opinionated on the subject of music. I’m someone who listens to all kinds of music. My musical taste is very broad and I consider myself somewhat of a musical connoisseur. I hope to be able to not only help others discover more great music that they may not be aware of or have never given a chance to, but I also hope to learn from others and expand my personal musical selection. I’m always looking for something new to appreciate. I truly believe that there are great songs in every genre of music. But that is not to say that all music is great. In fact, I believe that great music is becoming more and more of the minority. There may be just as much great music as ever, but speaking in ratios, it may be at an all time low. I feel obligated as well to correct some of the mistakes that have been made on channels such at MTV and VH1 when they’ve put together many of their top 100 lists. To be honest, I usually don’t have too much of a problem with the majority of each list, but there always seems to be serious ommisions of great bands or songs, and too often horrible inclusions or misplacements of music that isn’t so great. Other trusted opinions will contribute to this site with “Playlists” and commentary. But remember, at the end of the day, The Maestro’s opinion is the only musical opinion you’ll need…ever!
